Shopping Savings

Here is a breakdown of my shopping trip today in the shortest form possible:

I went to FOUR stores to match ads and prices and coupons.
First I went to a local store that specializes in meat deals and picked up a 5/19.99 deal PLUS 1.98/lb Ground Beef! The pick 5 I picked up 2 filet pack of 2 each 2 packs of 7 steaks and a pack of pork chops. I can’t even begin to count the savings on all of this.

Second I went to a local shopping plaza that has discount blankets and such. Found a set of queen sheets that were priced 85 dollars priced for 15 dollars after discounts and a new camo valance set for the boys that were originally 45 dollars for 2.00! Savings of 113 dollars.

Third I went to my Winn Dixie I spent 3 hours here not including check out (which they opened a special lane for check out for me with the manager when they realized what was going on)

I matched and priced everything on sale with coupons. Here is how you can save the most money. Buy 1 Get 1 free or B1G1 free as I call them when a coupon says purchase 2 for xxx amount you can stock up with these for great savings (most stores consider if you are doing a B1G1 that is a 2 deal purchase so you are really getting the best savings). I purchased 123 items including ribeye steaks and total BEFORE discounts (ads and coupons) was 610.43. After ads it was 390.11. After coupons I paid 206.78. I would post the receipt for you to see but it is as long as my queen size bed. This is for a savings of  403.65 plus Winn-Dixie gives fuel perks. I earned 1.70 for those which includes the bonus fuel savings.

Needless to say I went and filled up my big truck with 20 gallons of gas for 39 with those savings! Gas is going for 3.65 normal price here so I had a savings of 34 dollars ON GAS!

Last store I went to today was Save-A-Lot. A lot of people have these stores but do not realize they DO take coupons. My total before coupons just for sales they had was 60 dollars I paid 35.00 after coupons. Another 25.00 in savings for the day!

Total Savings for March 1st was: (estimated) 575.65.
